We hardly ever talk anymore. I read the letters that you gave me over and over again. Just wondering, "what am I keeping them for?" Because I have this feeling that will never mend. I will admit it. You were my first love. And even though I tried to hide it. You seemed to have me like a captured dove. I was hoping you would set me free. But all you did was break my wings. And let the pain cripple me. And the dove no longer sings. It no longer wants to fly. And it seems to have no will at all. And the dove slowly begins to die. Into the darkness, where it falls. When you come back seeking the dove. It will no longer be here.
